The boxing 'Match of the Century' this past Sunday saw both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao expressing non-stop admiration for each other, as both boxers hugged a record number of 37 times in the duration of 12 rounds.

Pacquiao, who suffered his 6th overall loss in his career came up short of 9 points in the long awaited bout but that did not stop the Filipino from embracing the American boxer an additional two more times after the match was officially over.

Admist the flurry of quick jabs, heavy uppercuts and swift hooks saw both boxers unable to help themselves from showing the other over-the-top affection, as both men constantly lowered their gloves mid-match and hugged it out.

One of the commentators for the match, Al Bernstein said: "I have nothing but mad respect for both these competitors, but it looks like they have even madder respect for one another."

Mayweather reportedly said backstage that this was the toughest match of his career by far as it was difficult for him to repress his urges to 'bring it in' and 'tuck it in there' with the Filipino hero.

At press time, the World Boxing Association announced its progress in talks for a re-evaluation of official boxing rules to disallow affectionate behaviour between boxers in order to keep the competitive spirit of boxing alive.
