MDA About To Extend Ban To Entire Jolin Tsai Discography

In most recent news, sources report the MDA (Media Development Authority) of Singapore, a statutory board in charge of regulating the local media sector is now considering banning Jolin Tsai's entire discography.

This after the MDA passed a ban on Taiwanese pop star Jolin Tsai's most recent hit 'We're All Different, Yet the Same' (不一样又怎样) earlier this week.

The song which music video was inspired by a true story featured the pop star herself and Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin in a wedding scene where the lesbian couple locked lips on the wedding altar.

An MDA spokesman told reporters: "In light of Tsai's new song, the MDA has vigorously studied the rest of her discography. Unfortunately, we've discovered inconspicuous seeds of homosexuality that wasn't apparent before."

Under MDA’s Television Programme Code, it states that “Music associated with drugs, alternative lifestyles (homosexuality) or the worship of the occult or the devil should not be broadcast.”

The spokesman added that the MDA was now considering banning her music entirely in Singapore, "to purge the venomous messages that her music has been spreading for the last decade."

At press time, the MDA was reportedly "seriously considering" re-evaluating Lady Gaga's music too.
