Thousands Of Smoking Reserved Areas Going To Complete Waste On World No Tobacco Day

More than a thousand smoking reserved spots and smoking-only areas will reportedly be going to complete waste on World No Tobacco Day.

“Typical inefficient planning once again from the Singapore government,” said real estate agent Robin Loy, citing all the unused designated smoking points, yellow boxes outside shopping malls and smoking rooms in restaurants and bars as the many places going to complete waste.

The Singapore government has spent tremendous efforts over the years to create a pleasant smoke-free environment for non-smokers, creating smoking designated areas and imposing fines for smokers who fail to abide by the law.

In support of World No Tobacco Day, supermarkets, provision stores and coffee shops across the nation of Singapore will be halting the sale of cigarettes on the day itself.

“Put the cigarettes back on sale and let the smokers do their thing, for Heaven’s sake. I can’t bear to see all that retail space going to waste,” the real estate agent lamented.

"And everyone still says Singapore has space constraints."
