Damages Were Caused By Foreign Otters; Not Us, Says Local Otter

Recent cases of disappearing and mutilated koi have put local otters under intense scrutiny, as a staggering number of koi have gone missing from ponds in Sentosa Cove and the nearby hotels in the last month.

Tan, a local smooth coated otter from Bishan Park, insisted that this is not the work of local otters.

“We are smart enough to know to keep to our own turf. This must be the work of those foreigner otters,” Tan said, adding that his family of otters has lived in Bishan for five generations with some relative otters residing in Pasir Ris.

CCTV footage and eyewitness reports have firmly identified otters hailing from the Strait of Malacca as the culprits of these savage attacks.

Analysts have observed that there has indeed been a recent surge in the number of foreign otters in Singapore due to it being the holiday season.

“This is otterly preposterous. What is going to happen to our children if we continue to be represented so negatively?” lamented Tan.

When asked if the foreign otters could hunt in Bishan or Pasir Ris as a way to stop them from destroying koi ponds, Tan slowly sank back into the pond and disappeared under a mist of bubbles.

No foreign otters could be contacted for comments.
