Local moviegoers across Singapore have decided to make their demands known to film director Jack Neo to churn out more Ah Boys to Men films making use of the same bloody actors.
“There is an urgent need for several more sequels of Ah Boys to Men where the same bloody actors Joshua Tan, Tosh Rock and Wang Wei Liang are seen going through the life of different military units,” said Navy regular ME2 Alwyn Han, reflecting similar sentiments of millions of Singaporeans who were keen to see various versions of Ah Boys to Men such as Ah Boys to Store Men, Ah Boys to Riflemen, Ah Boys to Driver Men and Ah Boys to Clerk Men.
“As long as the movie keeps the previous film characters separate by using an opening credit like ‘imagine if the boys went to a different unit instead’, I’m totally okay with throwing another $10 to $15 to Jack Neo to watch whatever he decides to churn out for us.”
Han added that a lazy and flimsily made-up opening credit to justify the use of the same bloody actors in several films did not bother him, in fact, he was glad to “see the same bloody actors” again.
Local film buffs also added that they would not rule out the possibility of prequels where the men were seen going through their education phases in polytechnics or junior colleges.
